The South Albert Street Bridge replacement project will begin on Tuesday, September 23. The bridge over Trout Creek was damaged during Hurricane Irene in August 2011.

Traffic and parking plans are in place to deal with the thousands of vehicles expected to come to downtown Allentown with the September 12 opening of the PPL Center at Seventh & Hamilton streets.

The contractor at the Eighth Street Bridge rehabilitation project will implement a daytime detour on Wednesday, September 24 from 9am to 3pm for bridge deck placements.
