Hamilton Street in the City of Allentown from 5th Street to Seventh Street will be closed as well as 6th Street from Walnut to Linden for the 2nd Annual Allentown BeerFest on Saturday, September 9. The streets will shut down around 9am and remain closed until approximately 7pm when cleanup is completed.
The Hamilton District Main Street Program in partnership with the City and Cork & Cage is presenting the Allentown Beer Fest from 1pm-5pm. The event promises an afternoon of great beers, fabulous food and fantastic music.
Some 55 breweries are participating providing samples of close to 110 different beers. Live music will play all afternoon, and nearby restaurants, Bell Hall, Centro, Chickie’s & Pete’s, grain, and The Hamilton Kitchen will be selling delicious food out on the street. A number of craft vendors will showcase their wares during the event.
Advanced tickets are $34 and can be purchased on-line at https://downtownallentown.ticketleap.com/allentownbeerfest/. Tickets are $40 the day of the event. Last year’s Allentown Beer Fest was a sellout.
This is a ticketed event for those 21 years of age and over, however you do not need a ticket if you are not sampling beer. Attendees can enjoy free live music and purchase food. Ticket holders are entitled to unlimited beer sampling from the breweries along with a 3.5 oz. tasting glass.
