Season Swim Passes on Sale April 4

If an early spring snowfall has you feeling blue, the City of Allentown wants you to think summer!

The Department of Parks & Recreation will begin extended office hours to sell season swimming passes and accept Learn to Swim program registrations on Wednesday, April 4. The Recreation Office located at 3000 Parkway Blvd. will be open on Wednesdays from 4:30pm to 8:30pm and Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm for season pass sales and Learn to Swim program registrations only.

2018 Resident and Non Resident Season Pass Rates are:

Resident Individual Season Pass - $50.00
Resident Family Pass- $150.00
*Family Pass is for up to 4 people, 2 of which can be adults age 18+ who reside in the same household. Up to 4 additional children under the age of 18 can be added for $25.00 per child.
Resident Veteran/Active Military Pass- $25.00
Resident Senior Pass- FREE

Proof of Residency is required in the form of a Driver’s License, Photo ID or School Issued ID.

Non Resident Individual Season Pass- $100.00
Non Resident Family Pass- $300.00
*Family Pass is for up to 4 people, 2 of which can be adults age 18+ who reside in the same household. Up to 4 additional children under the age of 18 can be added for $50.00 per child.
Non-Resident Veteran/Active Military Pass- $50.00
Non-Resident Senior Pass- $50.00

The City of Allentown Parks and Recreation Department offers a Learn to Swim program for youth ages 3 through 13. This (9) nine week program runs (30) minute classes (1) once a week on Wednesday evenings or Sunday Mornings from June 24 through August 22. Resident Registration is $50.00 per child. Non-Resident Registration is $100.00 per child.

Learning to swim is a vital life skill to keep individuals safe around all bodies of water. According to Center for Disease Control statistics, participation in formal swimming lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by 88 percent.
