As of 11 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, the Snow Emergency has been lifted. 

Vehicles may resume parking on designated Snow Emergency routes.

All Allentown Parking Authority parking decks, except Strata, will remain open free of charge through 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 24.

Residents are reminded that sidewalks are the responsibility of the property owner. In accordance with City ordinance, sidewalks must be cleared to provide safe passage for pedestrians.

Trash & Recycling Collection

Trash and Recycling Collection Canceled - Sunday night, February 22 and Monday night, February 23.


Residents in the Sunday night collection zone may place out both trash and recycling on Wednesday night, February 25. Residents in Monday night collection zone may place out both trash and recycling on Thursday night, February 26.

Up to 10 bags of trash or 4 (32 gallon) trash cans will be allowed. The Recycling Center is closed until further notice. 

Residents in the Monday night BLUE zone are asked to hold their yard wate until their next sheduled collection on Monday night, March 9.

Driveway Clearing Timing

It's recommended to wait until plow trucks have cleared your neighborhood before clearing your driveway.

Missed Alleys Requests

To report missed alleys, please wait for 48 hours after the snow event concludes. This delay allows crews to prioritize clearing main and secondary areas.
